Custom ringtones

Hi I have this phone 2 days for my elderly father. He has just few wishes and one of them is to set up custom ring for different persons. We set it up but it still ringing in one tone. It doesnt matter if we set one from original ringtone pool or own music it always ringing the same. We are desperate. Everything else is working fine
Oh and one thing how a turn off the welcoming annoucement about seting up phone.
