Hi There.. Screenshots below.
Are you able to indicate whether your team is any closer to resolving the capacitive buttons going to sleep issue?

The only problem I'm having is that the Capacitive buttons (Menu / Home / Back) buttons keep going to sleep and I have to hit them ten times to get them to wake up if I don't touch the phone for a few seconds.

Here's what seems to be happening. I'm not a tech expert but I do do a little bit of programming so I am thinking of this at the process level.

What I see happening on my phone is that when I do activate the touch buttons they stay on for a short while then they completely switch off as most people know. I have a cheap phone as an alternative and it's capacitive buttons work fine. On that phone the buttons lights go off but the buttons stay active so when I touch them they activate immediately.

So I see two processes here. One which controls the capacitive buttons backlights, and one which controls the operational status of the buttons themselves ie on or off. I think the problem is that the operational status of the buttons he is tied to the backlights when it probably should not be. When the backlights go out so does the usefulness of the capacitive buttons. They seem to completely switch off and require around 5 to 6 taps to wake them up again.

It just seems that the two processes being the lights and the buttons operations are tied together when they should not be. It's just a thought, but the problem is very frustrating. I have had the phone for months now and don't use it because of this problem.

I realise Blackview admin is probably very busy but this is pretty important given that you have
a loyal customer base which you could potentially lose if you do not at least give us some indication of where things are at with this. We have already paid our money and still don't have the product. That's a little frustrating I'm sure you can understand.

LEDs are driven with one output while the buttons are tied to the input. The input comes from digitizer - so buttons and LEDs are controlled by two different processors. The issue doesn't occur with GT9XX_GESTURE chips while does with gt1x. And you might be close to the truth: when LEDs go off, the digitizer may be switched to low energy mode. Probably gt1 sleeps more deeply that GT9? We'll never know. But I wish you all the patch will come soon.

Please specify which question you would like to have answered exactly. We know about that softkey-problem on some hardware versions and I am waiting for the next ROM with a bugfix just like you do. I can not tell you a specific date for the fix.

If your device is affected maybe this little tutorial may help you until an other solution: viewtopic.php?f=142&t=132163

We forwarded all three issues to the developers and I hope all will be fixed in the next version. Please understand that I can not tell you anything else about this today.

The issue doesn't occur with GT9XX_GESTURE chips, nor with FT5406_MT Touchpanel
