Pokemon Go doesn't start anymore because of this. It's pretty amateurish by Niantic to detect the phone as rooted but I guess it wouldn't happen, if the firmware had the correct flags set.

+1
Same problem at my device (already have 0822 firmware)

There is a solution for Pokemon GO :
you need to remove the file xbin/su
This file is present in the stock rom, even if you never rooted your phone !

PS : admin, please stop censoring my post, I'm trying to help here...

I don't see this file, where do i find it? Are there any negative side effects from deleting it?
An update to fix this issue would be nice. I received my phone today and was really looking forward to play pokemon go for a bit.

I can confirm the solution that sams posted. If your phone is not rooted, you can rename (or delete) the file "system/xbin/su" with a custom recovery (like TWRP). You can install the recovery with SP Flash Tool (see here: viewtopic.php?f=144&t=54240). The file can be edited with terminal commands.

I hope that in the future Blackview will release firmware updates without the su file in the stock ROM.
