Re: Have I made a mistake by buying a BV6000....?

Leave it at 20161011. It's the best ROM version. You can, easily, upgrade to android 7,so i don't think you were tricked or anything. It seems like the new ones have problems with the buttons capacitive buttons anyway, be glad you got an old one.

For $200 you have a smartphone with very decent specs that is water/dust/drop proof, definitely nothing to be regretful of. I got mine in August and the only problem is USB OTG doesn't work, not really a big deal.

Interestingly the supplier gave me a link that "upgraded" the ROM version to 20161011 (it was 20161025 before when I got it) - but they told me the link would update it to Android 7.........

However - reading further and also checking the different versions - I'm going to skip A-7 rather.... haven't got the time to sit and sort it - I bought the phone to be able to use two different country SIM's while travelling ....... but it needs to be stable for when I do long motorcycle tours...
So far I've relied on my SAMSUNG S5-mini which does the job nicely (albeit with only one SIM at a time)

I love the ruggedness of the phone - no worries there and it will be great for touring without worrying too much of it dropping.

Going to take your advice and get it back to the ROM you suggested..... ;)
