It seems I spoke too soon - Google Play services crashed on me today. Issue still present.

I made the strange "update marathon" yesterday. Installing buggy 20161025 by local file to get buggy 20161216 OTA to get 20170223 OTA.

WIFI is still stopping internet connection after short time. Now I will go back to halfway working version by flashing 20160822 and make an OTA Update to 20161011 and hoping that the IMEI will not get lost again. There seems to be different issues with different type of used hardware in the bv6000. All the bugs I noticed before are still present in 20170223.

I would had a full day less work if blackview would announce detailed changelogs with each update.

Battery drain very fast..

I finally can flash the ROM of http://www.needrom.com/download/blackview-bv6000-4/ without error. In doing this, I have to install Mediatek USB VCOM Driver as well as the latest FlashTool. Also, the sequence of "pressing DOWNLOAD" then "Connect USB cable" is essential. If this is reversed, the FlashTool won't start the download. The download didn't take too long to complete (1-2 min). Then the phone can rollback to Android 6.0 as a fresh phone. It took another several minutes to start the phone the first time. However, it can't recognize the sim card now !! Why is it so ? What can I do now ?

You lost your IMEI. You can rewrite it with the tool "SN_Write_Tool_v1604". There are detailed manuals for this online.
If it doesn't work you should first flash again with "format all + download", then use the SN_Write_Tool.

Thanks Phil. I tried "Factory data reset" and the sim card appears again !!

I have sucessfully updated my phone from the unofficial Android 7 ROM. No problems so far. Nice to have the February 2017 security updates.

Same, no problems here so far. If anything, everything feels a bit more snappy. Like starting apps, or switching from app A to B.

Does Sygic Navigator work with 20170223 release?
