I have a problem with the background data at my BV 6000 with Android 7.0. It was necessary to reset the device to factory defaults because it always restarts. After that the restart problem did not appear again, but now I have a new problem. The background data does not work. That means I can see Whats app messages if I open the app. With other apps (Podcast, mail,...) it is the same problem. There is no nofitication at the main screen for new messages or events. So far I set at "Settings -> Data Usage -> Data Saver -> Unrestricted data access" all apps and system processes to unrestricted. In addition I set at "Settings -> Battery -> Battery optimisation" all apps and system processes to "not optimised". I've read in the internet that there should be a possibilty to set the "background data" to "on" at "Settings -> Data Usage", but I do not see this option in the menu. Can somebody help me please to fix this issue?

You could whitelist the apps on "settings>background task clear"
