Headphone jack

Wed Jul 06, 2016 9:27 pm

Hi,
I have a question. How far to I have to push headphones jack to audio 3.5 port so that it is fully connected? It seems that the edges of yellow plastic ( under protecting cover) prevents jack to fully be inserted. Is it dangerous to apply more pressure? audio slot might be pushed in or broken?

Can anyone show me a picture with Properly inserted headphone jack?

Thank you!

I filed down the hole to use my 3.5 jack cable. It works perfectly and it's (almost) invisible.

I think you can only use the headphones that come with the phone. For water protection the connection is deeper than with most phones.

For me, the headphones that came with the phone work fine! Any other headphones, the plastic around the jack is too "thick" and it can't reach the connection.

I sliced off the sides from the earphone a little bit...now its flattened form opposite side and slides in perfectly...

You need a special longer Jack for rugged phones or just slice sides like suggested
