Blackview BV6000 Microphone Problems

Sun May 21, 2017 2:39 pm

Hello, I have two problems on my Blackview BV6000:

First the frequency of the microphone during calls is very low and my interlocutors do not hear me during our telephone exchanges. I realized the self-test which does not raise any hardware problems. Do you have a solution for me?

Secondly, when I take videos with the camera of the phone, the microphone records the parasitic noises related to the adjustment of the autofocus, noises nevertheless inaudibles when taking the videos. Senses a problem of microphone sensitivity.

Do you have a solution to solve these setup problems? I was thinking of making settings in administrator mode but I do not know how to root the device.

Thanking you in advance.

For the low volume, hope the below way can help you.
To enter the engineers code go to phone and dial pad and enter the code.
*#9646633#
You are now in engineer mode with the top tab telephony.
swipe across until you get to hardware testing.
select audio
select volume
select voice
you will see the drop down menu for receiver, hac, headset, speaker.
select either receiver or speaker
manually change UL gain to say 240.
scroll down the screen and hit the button Set.
go back using < key.
then select voice again just to check the setting for UL gain has changed
then press home and test by ringing someone or receiving a call.

I also experienced that the microphone sound was dull and quiet beyond tolerable, and no software tweaks (EngineerMode included) could improve it too much.

A forum entry suggested checking for excess insulation material, so I disassembled the phone, and found this 3mm piece of dropped solder just at the mic contacts:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9ljsC ... sp=sharing
Removed it, reassembled the phone, and now it's 100% loud and clear.

Dear BlackView, you are producing the absolute best phones on the market, please take a bit more care on the assembling (and maybe on the end-of-production QA) !

Kind regards,
Gabor
