After a couple of days I now see that the screen sensitivity is fine but it's those damn capacitive buttons (home / back / menu) which are the problem. The go to sleep too early.

Their sensitivity is fine, it's the fact that they go to sleep too soon and are hard to wake up!
I think that's the key point.. They just don't wake up easily. My pointer speed is turned right up but still these buttons
are driving me mad. I have to tap the back button 6 or 7 times to get things moving.

Same my phone. At least glove mode we can survive.

with the capacitive buttons only working well in glove mode, I will refrain from updating when the glove mode is no longer present. I'd rather live with a too sensitive touch screen (which makes scrolling without "clicking" very difficult) than not being able to use the capacitive buttons!

There mustbe differences in hardware. or the hardware parts are not in the same quality. it does not look like blackview is spending much energy on the bv6000.anymore. on my requests on the blackview email i never got any answer. they know the sold at least a bad batch. really sad. i will look for a new phone from another company. blackview service is really poor

That's what I thought. Previous update (April) for greatest for many users and worst for the others.... this update is quite opposite, at least for me, I'm happy for now.
But I'm still quite sad about this phone. It looks so great, but it is spoiled by these software bugs :(

I have experienced less battery life, high sensitivity on the lock screen, and automatic reboots :(

The latest update has ruined my phone. I have always done the OTA updates as they appeared on my phone. The only previous issue I had was I could not connect to bluetooth devices when I upgraded on a previous update. Now my phone is almost unusable. It takes ages to swipe up to unlock. The phone lags when touching the screen and I use the swiping method to type. Games are unplayable if you have to move your finger on the screen. My proximity sensor is not working and when I talk on the phone because the screen is still on the phone lags then eventually reboots mid conversation.

If you can send us the related log, then we can well locate the problem.
enter into the engineer code(by#9646633#)--log and debugging--MTk logger--click the red icon on the bottom of the screen to start--while the problem comes out, click the button""stop""
Then connecting your PC and send us the MTK log file and time of problem happening.

Admin,

I'm getting some lag and reboots, both reproducable playing the game "dots". (The lag goes away when you remove the finger from the touchscreen, and reboots if you don't). Will see if I can capture some logs for you.

Also, a little disappointed that the security patch level was not updated to May 2017.

Any chance of Android 7.1?

Will you be addressing the capacitive buttons going to sleep too early? (home, back, menu) buttons?

Also.. I tried to enter the above code with no result. What am I doing wrong?
