Hi all, I want/need to root my new BV6000, so I followed several instructions on the web how to do it. I have experience with other MTK phones before, so I thought it would be a piece of cake. However, after I flashed TWRP, I can boot into it, but the touchscreen does not react. I suspect that this is because my phone is running the 20170414 ROM, and most probably the available TWRP versions do not work with this new ROM.
Does anyone have successfully rooted his BV6000 with 20170414 ROM already? Is there a TWRP version that would work? Or is there currently no way to root the phone and all we can do is wait? I really need my phone rooted, for a variety of reasons...

You said touchscreen in TWRP does not react? So I understand it means you cannot use the items in TWRP, because it is a common problem. You solve this problem by using a mouse.

Wow, that's a cool option I did not think of at all. But you're right, that might work. I have to flash TWRP again tomorrow (it always becomes overwritten upon boot because I could not enable persistence due to the problem with the touchscreen), and will try it immediately after flashing. I'll report if it works that way.
