If 8 MP (interpolation to 13 MP) front camera (with flashlight) is useless (like you've said), what do you expect from front camera ?
Any better idea than mine ?

I expect nothing more from a front camera.
It is useful only in video call and 5MP is way more than we need for that.
Interpolation is a scam.
Front flash is useless. Even if you want to video chat in the dark, the screen is bright enough to light you.
With a lens that tiny, even with a fat ass sensor and a flash, you take crappier pictures than with the cheapest real camera.
So more money for a bigger battery and better quality sensors !

BV6000 is almost perfect phone for me. Almost.
Most annoying thing in phone is camera. I love photography. Camera chip is pretty good quality, but does not have manual option. I cant do really long exposure images. There are no manual focus. I'm really sad about this, because autofocus just sucks, especially in darkness.
>Make better usb (and audio jack) port that do not need a special cable
>Better quality of gyroscopes, magnetometer ( I left unsaid you monted it wrong side ). Even though updates I cant use "sky map" or I have multiple problems with google maps etc.
>very long response to off scren gestures. Really. Sometimes I need to wait ~20 secounds :/
(button is not so fast too... but 2 secs is more better result than 20)

-yeah make API Camera2 a reality for this phone !!! plus it could be good to be able to use the phone in the water/wet hands.. or add the touchscreen lock feature so that we can only take photo and video with the physical button .
-for the port and flaps..agree with that. also I find that a switch that close all the hole (speaker, micro... ) is a great idea !
-the magnetometer is bad... that's very unpleasant for the compass and for an outdoor phone..

xenex wrote:

I think this one could be good if it has an offline app that work with it!
Make it a bit higher not as symetrical might be a good idea.
also the possibility to customize it would be great!! (I change mine to turn on and off the flashlight, but meaning... tweaks..)

I would prefer an AMOLED display because it is good for battery life. you can change the brightness more easily, an is easier on the eye.
but the resolution is great!
if it is possible to make the screen bigger with the same size of phone it would be great !

I would like to see MHL support.
Configurable left side buttons.
Better magnetometer.
Better range of display dim in settings.

I love the phone. The size and battery are fine. The only things that i think would be better is a better speaker plus camera and more room for the audio aux. I cant find one thin enough to work. Also a removable battery would be nice.

I agree with the other lot: please, Blackview, don't make the mistake and put in a absolutely useless megapixel monster camera.A good CMOS sensor without interpolation (4-5 MPx front, 8-12 MPx back) delivers the goods which we need in a mobile phone!

Here's my wishlist with the must-have features for the new BV8000:
- accurate sensors for gyro, compass and acceleration (since it's an outdoor mobile, maybe temp and pressure) --> I'd rather have less sensors, but more accurate ones.
- accurate GPS and GLONASS
- battery of around 4'500 mAh (coupled with a sensible firmware this is more than enough for most use cases)
- Gorilla glass 4
- 4.7 inch screen
- dual SIM

And here's the killer arguments (i.e. for NOT buying the phone):
- hybrid dual SIM with mSD slot (totally pointless, because either it is a dual SIM mobile or it is not)
- 5 inches or bigger display (it's an outdoor mobile phone. you need a bigger screen, get a tablet and stay home!)
- Helio X20 or X30 (too many cores, too much power consumption when coupled with non-optimised apps, and again: it's an outdoor mobile and not a gaming or heavy multi-tasking platform)
- bloated android (preferably it's vanilla - but AICP or slim equivalent is ok. anything north of that doesn't work for me)

That's my take on the new BV8000.

Now all I need to know; when it will be coming :)

cheers.

I'm Satisfied When Using BV6000 Since I Bought. I Have Two BV6000 And I Really Love Them. The Design, Build And Flexibility Are Almost Perfect For Me.

The Only Things I'm Expecting From This Phone Is New Version Of BV6000 With 6,000 mAh Battery. Probably, The Good Name Of New Version Is BV6000 Pro.

If There Is Possible To Build New Version Of BV6000, I'm Expecting These Features For The Revisions :

(1) Battery : 6,000 mAh.
(2) Back Camera : 16 MP (Interpolation To 21 MP), Still With Flashlight.
(3) Front Camera : 8 MP (Interpolation To 13 MP), With Flashlight.
(4) Display 5 Or 5.5 Inch With Gorilla Glass 4.
(5) Support Magnetic And Wireless Charging (Like Conquest S8).
(6) Operating System : Android 7.0 Nougat.
(7) Red, Green, Blue LED Notification.

All Other Specs Still Remaining The Same With BV6000.

Please Don't Tell Me About Blackview P2.
Because The Design And Build Is Far Far Away From BV6000, Beside It Using Hybrid SIM Slot. I Hate Hybrid SIM Slot.

Please Don't Remove This Post To See Market Demand From Other Members.
Hopefully Many People Agree With My Opinions. Thank You.

bold marked points + fingerprint sensor would be THE reason to buy that phone!

But I don't agree 100% with the rest, so I'd summarize to this:

Current BV6000 with:
  • LED notification
  • Fingerprint-sensor
  • Qi / Wireless Charging (latest standard)
  • Infrared-interface (for using as a tv remote)
  • Improved sensors (for e.g. gyro)
  • No more "special" USB or Earphone-Jacks - make normal ports and protect them differently
  • More colors: gold, yellow, green, red, white, black, blue (!!!)
  • Optional: USB Type-C (3.1)

And how we call it? Of course:

BV6000 Pro

I hope the marketing department / admin will answer to this with:

Challenge accepted!

;) ;)

I agree. Traveling through mountains I'd like to make some good pictures.
