The [FAIL] button is for the tester to apprise the result. I was confused at first too but then spotted [DO CALIBRATION] button on top. When touched (try to close the finger to activate the button without actually touching the screen to keep it a rest - the calibration is too quick to stabilize the phone if moved slightly and the gyroscope is really sensitive), sensor calibration data changes. When sensor current data shows almost zero being more or less equally positive and negative, you press the [PASS] button to confirm calibration. Or [FAIL] if you are still not pleased and do not want to try again.

Ok. Very nice. I have managed to do it today. On first try there was success message - but when I try for first time some days ago, I only had fail messages.
