BV6000 problem - broken screw

Mon Jan 16, 2017 9:08 pm

I have a problem with my BV6000. Recently, one of the screws that holds the cover to the SIM compartment broke off. Unfortunately, just the head of the screw broke off - the "tail" remained threaded in the hole. I can't figure out how to remove the remaining stub of the screw stuck in the hole. How can I remove the broken screw?

The phone still works, but the water tight seal is compromised.

There is a replacement screw in the original kit, so that is not a problem.

Hi,

In order to protect the phone, You'd better use suitable and professional tool to remove it if you want. But you can also find a phone repair shop in your local to get help.

Hi, thanks for your reply... I tried yesterday, in two differente phone repair shops... they tell me that the part of the screw remaining is too short for extracting... they suggest to drill it but this operation (I think) could void the warranty. Can I tray to drill it? or, better, can I substitute the back-cover without voiding warranty? Thank you very much
