Re: New Android Oreo firmware found on 4PDA (TESTING)

Hi, I've just become the owner of one of these and I would like to try this upgrade and  I was hoping someone could give me some advice before I try to do it. When I purchased the phone (Amazon warehouse) the accessories for it were  missing so I have purchased a usb cable from Ebay but I noticed o...

Re: Downgrade

Done it! Back to 7 and my phone randomly rebooting several times a day, just like old times! Nougat how I've missed you! If only blackview had a clue what they were doing when it comes to software they would be decent phones. Shame. If you miss Nougat you may appreciate this: http://bbs.blackview.h...

Re: New Android Oreo firmware found on 4PDA (TESTING)

As far, as I've got from the Russian 4PDA forum, this version of software V1.1_20180914 were backed up from the new motherboard, received from China as a replacement part for the broken one. So, guy just pulled this ROM out from this new motherboard (post from January 13, 2019). It means, that this...

Re: New Android Oreo firmware found on 4PDA (TESTING)

Actually it is quite easy and straight-forward using the latest version of SP Flash Tool 1. Download the latest version of the SP Flash tool: https://spflashtool.com/ 2 Uninstall all USB drivers and install the Mediatek VCOM driver: https://www.techglobex.net/2017/03/download-mediatek-usb-vcom-drive...

Re: [TRACKED] Fast charging is not working and battery drains fast

I would like to know, of Android 8 works well, without battery problems after a factory reset. Thanks. No, there are tons of bugs and problems which are not addressed. Unfortunately Blackview focused on their new models and totally abandoned the ex-flagman model development. This is my fourth BV ph...

Re: [TRACKED] Fingerprint scanner vibrates every time I touch it with wrong finger

I can confirm this also. Sometimes I pull the phone out of my pocket and I cannot unlock it with my finger because there were already too many failed attempts.

Re: [TRACKED] Fast charging is not working and battery drains fast

I have an update: the fast charging is back for me but with a new cable.  I've been using only the factory cable I received with the phone up to now. The fast charging was working until I updated to Oreo - I kept using the same cable but the charging went very slow.  I bought a new cable from AliExp...

1) try with different notification sounds.
2) can you send a video when you try to raise the volume of the notifications from settings and quick bar if possible?

It worked. I changed the default notification sound a few times and no the volume level matched the ringing volume.
Thanks a lot!

Re: Notifications' volume cannot be changed

https://ibb.co/etcKUT https://ibb.co/bwZNio https://ibb.co/jjfHG8 Thank you for the information, but this just raises the overall sound level of the phone, which in my case is now working - the phone ringtone level is too high and the notifications sound is still much lower.  There is no way to mak...

Re: Bad camera autofocus

I can confirm that the camera autofocus is worse with Oreo. Some times it is not working at all, sometimes I have to try several times until it focuses. A temporary fix: switch on/off the flash several times - then it is working for the current camera session. When you close and open the camera app ...
