Re: Using the UHF radio for Ham Radio DMR

I know I'm late but this phone is tier one DMR and uses both time slots. You need tier two DMR, which this radio cannot do.

Re: Faulty / crappy O.S. for BV9500Pro / admin issues.

These will never be "fixed". They get money for data farming. All the major manufacturers do. Very few manufacturers even offer phones without such spyware integrated into the operating systems because tracking you, your interactions, your every move........ Leads to tonnes of data they (G...

Re: New BV 9500 Pro PTT Button not working.

Hello, I just received my brand new BV 9500 Pro today. I like the phone a lot, but I am having one small problem. The PTT button does not appear to work. When I press it from the home screen, it does not launch the "Intercom" app. If I launch the app manually, only the on screen transmit ...

Re: FM Radio to use Intercom antenna

That solution would work until direct RF from the UHF transmitter fries the FM chip's amplifiers (which is also your Bluetooth and WiFi chip). Even at only a few watts and even at four to five times the frequency, directly fed to the chip might be more than it can handle. But then it might not. >shr...

Re: Question about secondary back-camera

There is an engineering test mode that will display what the smaller, lower-resolution camera "sees". It is a real device, an imaging sensor, but its product is more for the software to interpolate things like light level, balance, areas of contrast and edge detection. It's an aid to the b...

Re: Some advice for Blackview design team

Make it an official stated policy that you support unlocking and rooting. There are millions of systems engineers like myself looking to get away from Samsung and the like.  We want replaceable batteries (requiring a screwdriver at most).  We want phones we know we can customize and secure.  We wan...

Re: Need to replace Cellular antenna !!

Huh. That's one item I've not seen available for a cellphone online. Though I don't remember my antennas being attached in such a way as to be at risk of this kind of damage. Got pictures? Are you sure you're not talking about the mainboard-to-USB-charging-subboard cable? I can think of a few ways y...

Re: BV9500Pro Intercom timeout

The time out could also avoid heating issues for the RF output amplifier.....  Could be a reason for this limit ! Remember that's a mobile phone with UHF transmission capability, not really a complete Tranceiver !! Of course, but isn't the user intelligent enough to know the reason there is a hole ...

Re: BV9500Pro Intercom timeout

I personally have been throughout every feature and setting that application has and I guarantee that video doesn't show how to change the "time out timer" because that setting isn't exposed to the user. This is another example for my previous post. OP, I'm sorry, I don't mean to hijack. I...

Re: non-functional touch

Thanks for that info, that's a new address to me.

They should also read the forums so they can see firsthand our frustrations and our appreciations of the products you all produce.
