Overly aggressive memory management kills background apps after a short while

Hi! Got a new BL6000 Pro which runs the current Android 10 version BL6000Pro_EEA_S1000A_V1.0_20210113V16. For some reason the memory management settings in this version are overly aggressive, killing background apps after several minutes no matter what. Which has the conseqence that the phone is com...

Re: The all-new BV9600 Plus.... is coming!

Nice!

But why such a weak SoC? Why doesn't BlackView use the Helios X series instead of the slow P series? A Helios X20 would give a great device the performance it deserves.

Question re. BV9500 and USB C cables

Hi! I'm currently on a BV8000 Pro, however I'm considering the BV9500 (non-Pro). But before I decide I'd like to know if the BV9500 still only works with Blackview USB cables, or if now standard USB-C cables can be used. On the BV8000 Pro, the USB C port is recessed so that normal USB-C cables don't...

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] EXT4 sdcard support

I understand, but the point in asking for ext3/4 support was not to make it easier to take out the card and read it in a PC (which, since it's behind a sealed metal shield, isn't really easy anyways), it's because the FAT32 system limits the max file size which means that say a 5GB iso can't be save...

[URGENT REQUEST] Start implementing the monthly Android security updates

I love my BV8000 Pro, the hardware including the screen is great and the Android 7 with the BlackView launcher is the nicest variant I've ever encountered. However, there's one thing that is severely lacking, and that is security. Not too long ago my BV8k Pro got an OTA update to BV8000Pro-Blackview...

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] EXT4 sdcard support

What about NTFS ? My current device supports it and it has the advantage (overt EXT4) to be supported by Windows and Linux platforms (I don't know about MacOS) in case you want to read the card from a computer. NTFS isn't a great file system for flash media, and unlike for EXT3/4 where support is a...

[FEATURE REQUEST] Use the latest subversion of Android for firmware updates

Hello! For some reason BV only uses point zero releases of Android (7.0, 8.0) even when there are newer subversions available which also contain a lot of improvements over the point zero release. Could BV therefore use the current release (which for Android 7 I think is 7.3 and for Oreo it's 8.1) in...

[FEATURE REQUEST] EXT4 sdcard support

Hello! Right now it appears that sdcards have to be formatted in FAT32 to be useful, which is a problem because FAT32 isn't very robust and doesn't support large files. Android itself can handle ext4 just fine, it just needs to be enabled for sdcards. It would be great if this could be implemented i...
