Replacing the charging board has definitely helped with this issue (less rebooting), however it does still reboot on it's own, and this is with update; 20170803_20171227.

So unless the board I purchased also has a fault, I think it's safe to assume that this could also be a software problem.

You're right, I spoke too soon, it just restarted on it's own...

Update: After replacing the charging board in my phone on the 21st I've experienced no further restarts, it seems to have resolved the issue.

It does seem that this was a hardware issue after all,
