Although the tech team stated that it's an hardware issue, what about flashing the 20171219 firmware in the mean time to see if the issue gets mitigated? Same issue here, local update from 20170718 to 20170804 does not work, OTA for 20170804 was never offered.
Are there any chances to get new firmware? I don't have windows PC for SPFlashTool.

Seconding this request, previous BV models could use normal jacks (just slimmer). This is no longer possible with BV8000. Even link for unofficial reduction would be nice.
