As a conclusion to the information given in this forum; I will wait till a functional oreo is released. This first version should be filed under "experimental" and avoided at all cost! Have a nice day!
Hi. Also the second method fails. After fresh download, the update fails to verify after 22.1 seconds. This happens to two files and with different location on SD card. Downloaded using Mega app. See that one other user also has a no-go.
Hi. I performed a local install of the Android 8.0 released today. Yes i did perform a Factory reset. Result is : system reports Android 7.0, same version of firmware as before i started! A lot of work for no use! Thanks!
