Re: Release of the source code needed for custom ROMs

Don't bother asking... they don't care, see this topic . I'm disappointed because I though that Blackview had the potential of being better than the standard chinese phone manufacturer... Re: Discussion about source codes

Well, I would say there is no evidence that GPL is not valid in China. Re: Discussion about source codes

I think Blackview is missing business opportunities by not provided the source code (that they are required legally to provide, by the way...) . Depends where. i had the same trouble. i solved it by downgrade to 20171219 build and then used the 2nd method.

That worked like a charm.

For me too, using the 20171227.

Re: Update to Oreo impossible.

Doesn't work for me either.

Method 1: "Signature verification failed"
Method 2: not able to see any files? (no sdcard)

Re: Discussion about source codes

I think Blackview is missing business opportunities by not provided the source code (that they are required legally to provide, by the way...). Of course, I've heard that Mediatek is not keen on manufacturer redistributing source code, but I think you should find a solution, especially since I don't...

Has anyone opened up their BV8000 Pro to check the cameras connection point?

The hardware is fine, as taking picture with manual focus works (withs apps like Camera FV-5). There is an issue with the camera HAL and/or firmware.
