Re: Device abandoned?

No reply after a full month - so that means yes, the device (and all those who bought it) have been forgotten by BlackView. Too bad, what a waste of money, having bought a totally unsupported phone.

Device abandoned?

Since the phone came out in summer, there has been no functional update or any detectable activity from BV side. One "update" was released here in the forum, but it doesn't (and never did) work. Is it safe to assume that BV has lost all interest in the device as soon as it was released, an...

Re: Why does the firmware clear the IMEI number?

When you flash the ROM update provided here in the forum, the flash program will force you to do a "format all and install" - if you do it, flashing will delete IMEI s and the rest of the NVRAM partition (and more). After the flash, the phone will be bricked or at least inoperable. Check o...

Re: ROM update cannot be installed (BRICKED!)

Another month later, still no reply. The phone is a really nice piece of hardware, but it looks like it was abandoned by the company the minute it was released... No further support, no ROM updates, no nothing. Too bad!

Re: How to root BV9600??

Where can we find TWRP build for Blackview phones? twrp.me website does not contain it. download TWRP for BV9600pro, which also works for the BV9600EEA (not "pro"), from here: https://download900.mediafire.com/js0hqv9axn1g/2p2ek019reu7ek6/Blackview+BV9600+Pro+twrp.rar Flash it, th...

How to root my BV9600? I would like to activate camera 2 api.

0. Download ADB and install drivers on your Windows computer
1. Unlock the bootloader
2. Flash TWRP
3. Install Magisk

Works perfectly well on my BV9600.

Re: BV9600 Amoled brightness on the display???

I use the app Dimly for that purpose. There is no option in the system itself to reduce the screen brightness other than the slider, which - I agree - leaves the screen too bright at night.

Re: Unstable smartwatch bluetooth connection

There are a couple of things that need to be done to make it work: (1) switch off battery optimization for the app. Apps & notifications -> Advanced -> Special app access -> Battery optimization -> (click arrow next to "Not optimized" and select"All apps" instead -> find your...

Re: 3.5 mm Jack usability

One addition, though: many regular USB-C cables can be made to fit; cutting away a bit of rubber/plastic with a pen knife did the trick for several cables I already had. 8mm tip is enough. I agree, if you have a simple USB-C cable that has a plastic plug, you can tinker with it and make it fit. Not...
