They need to bring out a adapter : "long 4 pole 3.5mm headphone jack adapter"
or
a IP68 insert adapter for normal headphones.

I had the same problem. People could not hear me when I called them. Thanks to the engineers code I was able to fix it :) I set the UL gain to 220. This was good for both speaker phone and normal. I love the phone still having Spotify & Music issues issues but that's a "Android 6" issu...
