No, that link doesn't help at all - I don't want to replace the headphone socket (and shouldn't need to on an almost new phone!).

I've hardly used the headphones which came with my BV6000 because of the poor audio qualify. However, whilst using them today (for may the 5th time in total) the wires connecting both ear cables to the junction point came apart Rather than get a direct replacement can anyone suggest other headphones...
