Android 9 / P?

Hello, will this device ever receive an update to Android 8 / Oreo or even 9 / P? Because I heard that Google made creating updated ROMs much easier for this version, as the hardware layer and the rest of the OS layer are now fully separated, allowing one to keep the same hardware layer (the stuff t...

Re: All apps crash after upgrade to Android 7 (20171011)?!

BTW, I solved the problem now . 1. I flashed the upgrade via SPFlashTool. 2. Then I flashed my backup of the data partition. 3. Finally I flashed the newest TWRP, booted the phone into recovery, turned it off, then flashed TWRP again, since that is apparently necessary for it to stick. 4. Now the tr...

Re: All apps crash after upgrade to Android 7 (20171011)?!

Sorry, we can not provide support for issues with third party recovery. If you use original recovery and also flash user data the update to android 7 will work without problems. This IS an original recovery! And you know it. Since you read the flash file name in my comment: 20171011_s12v55_jk_3m.zi...

Re: All apps crash after upgrade to Android 7 (20171011)?!

Are you seriously telling us that you have no backup of your user data and settings? Of course I have backups! But why are you such a dick? I automatically mirror all my data to my server using Syncthing, where it is backed up for up to a year, with up to 22(!) full copies! On top, I use Titanium B...

Phone gets warm during charging? Get another cable!

My phone always got pretty warm during charging. And I assumed that is normal due to quick charging. But it isn't! Also, I thought my phone’s socket itself was too loose inside the phone. That wasn’t true either! The Blackview cable if far too loose, and creates lots of resistance. Hence the phone c...

General touchscreen problems: Oversensitivity, too few fingers.

Hi, I'm wondering if these problems can be solved without any hardware changes: 1. The touchscreen is way too sensitive after the update to the latest ROM (from Android 6 to 7). I do not actually have to touch, for it to trigger. This also causes the phone to often detect the keys next to the ones I...

What are these nonsense comments?

The BV600 is perfectly watertight. Just keep the flaps closed (and clean), duh. The speakers have no problem with the water. I used it many hours for snorkeling, and washed the phone under water many times, and it is fine. The problem is a different one: The touch screen does not work under water! O...

Ignore the others. First try this:

All those suggestions are mostly nonsense. (Especially the MTK engineering mode thing. Please do not ruin your volume settings. You will not remember what it originally was!) Please do not listen to them, unless you have tried these things first: http://bbs.blackview.hk/viewtopic.php?f=142&t=326...

Re: PTT Button on Zello or others ptt apps

Enabling PTT even when the phone is locked, and the screen off, is a very bad idea. Your phone will turn on in your pocket, and randomly record what you are doing and send it via PTT. Next level pocket dialing. The problem is in the hardware. Android phones are utterly stupid in this. The old Nokia ...

Re: Home button ruled by Google. How To disable? And endble the old feature?

But switching apps is now done via what used to be the menu button. Which is much better, and how it should have been done for a long time! Yes, holding the home button should not run anything by the Google kraken. Frankly, all three buttons should be fully configurable. Pressing and holding. So you...
