The removal of the memory card was the solution, the update worked on the BV9500 Does NOT work on my BV9500 Pro . I had performed many hard (factory) resets and formattings of /data and /cache partitions through both settings menu and the recovery.  Without any SD-card inserted. Still nothing. =(
