Well, that is what I did! Now the buttons are non-responsive at times...

I've updated my phone from the january 2017 version. The only annoying thing sofar is that the bottom buttons are non-responsive. It takes 2-3 pushes to get them to respond.

MediaTek based phones use Pump Express + instead of Quick Charge (Qualcomm systems).
PE+ chargers are harder to find, but they are out there. You have to use good quality cables to make this work.
