My BV 9500 is also rebooting randomly. I installed the latest update 20181026. Very annoying.

The flashing was no problem. You have to delete the checksum-file first.

With the latest update are the sensors working properly. No problems with the gyro here.

Only the compass isn't pointing to north. Tried to calibrate it a few times. It is +90 degrees east.

I repaired also my BV5000 a few days ago. I ordered the BV6000 a few weaks ago. It is nearly NukeProof and a real outdoor tool.

I think the magnetic field sensor and the accelerometer needed to be readjust with the next firmware. They seems very twitchy and inaccurate. The compass is resulting of both measurements.
