I have just posted this on the other thread and I might be stating the obvious but I had struggled to figure this out myself as well. So, for what it's worth - here is how I updated my phone with the manually downloaded ROM. In my case, there was no need to root the phone, etc. [BTW the ROM was Android 5.1 not Marshmallow 6].
1) Simply download the ROM zip file an transfer to your SD card (internal or external)
2) Go to Settings
3) Click on About phone
4) Click on wireless update
5) Click on three vertical dots in the right hand top corner
6) Select Local updates
7) select SD card / folder / ZIP file that holds the ROM update that you have downloaded (manually)
And follow the steps to upgrade / update your ROM.
Hope this works for you!?
