I don't understand. Is this the official way to update or for those who had android 7 (like me) will come an OTA in the future?

You brought model P10000 pro or a BV model? This question about the P10000

Still a don't understand. I bought a BV model, to be precise it's a BlackView P10000 pro; I think this forum is dedicated to users who have a BV P10000 pro. Am I in the wrong place?

There is no such phone as a BV P10000 pro which is why im asking. Its either a BV which is the rugged range of phones or it is the P range which are not rugged and what this forum is about the P10000 pro and this post specifically the 8.1 release for the P10000.
Totally different phones.
So if you have the P10000 pro phone and it came with 8.1 as default when you brought it Im wondering why they have not officially released it to all of us and we are all waiting patiently.

Now I think I understand. The misunderstanding was that you use BV as a series name, I use it as short for Blackview. I have a Blackview P10000 Pro. My P10000 Pro came with android 7.iDontRemember and then there was a single update and now it's 7.1.1. After this update, silence, no security updates, no android updates. So my question is, again:  is the one you described the official way to update orm for those who had android 7.1 (like me), will come an OTA in the future?

We are all on 7.1.1 and there has been no official way to update, the user Serg has posted a link to a russian website that has 8.1 but this is not official otherwise it would be pushed to us OTA.
The user R1 something recons he brought a P10000 that came with 8.1 but i would like to see a screen cap of this.
As of now no official way to update and we all continue to await.
Feel very very let down because the phone was released in March and now nearly November. The phone will probably need upgrading by the time the new version comes.... IF IT EVER COMES.
