You can try titanium backup (root and busybox needed), or helium (never tried), if you don't have root.

"A phone wipe (aka factory reset) is highly recommended after each update, OTA, local or flashed.
This is a good practice on all the Android phones if you want to avoid issues and to use firmware updates correctly. ;)

Next updates, as always, can also come via OTA, so in this case you won't have to flash your device everytime.[/quote]"

Just a question for the admin, since I never had before an upgradable phone. I flashed it to the latest rom and then installed the OTA upgrade 20171227 both times I did a factory reset. The procedure to reinstall all the apps and reconfigure them is very time consuming. Is it necessary to do factory reset after OTA? You confused me a bit with your previous post.

A factory reset should be done after every firmware update, OTA included!

To reinstall apps and reconfigure settings, use the stock Google android backup ;)

Isn't that a bit of an overkill? You don't see us wipe our entire computer whenever windows does an update right? ;)

I'm repeating myself again and again   if you don't perform a factory reset after a firmware update, strange issues may happen. It's proved!

Feel a moment please!
There is no need for me to make a factory reset every time!
I had Meizu and it never happened like that!
Do you realize that this situation is embarrassing?
a phone with excellent hardware and a firmware that has continuous problems.
Do you want to solve once and for all?
I use google translate, I hope to make myself understood

We are continuosly working on it to grant the best user experience we can ;)
Android is a very complex and fragmented OS, it's not a news. Blackview is not the first and will not be the last.
