So... Basically what youre saying is - you and j don't have the same issue and therefore the problem is solved?

I never heard about such issue since i've been moderating this board. No other user got this issue, you are the first. The issue persist between updates and factory resets, so it's not software related.
As it looks like an hardware fault, i can't see any other solution for you except contacting your seller to have your device replaced under warranty.
