The connectivity of Blackview BV7000

Postby blackview_admin » Tue May 16, 2017 10:53 am

The connectivity of the phone is very important, so before you buying a phone, you must check its connectivity with your local carriers.
Connectivity:
GSM:850/900/1800/1900
3G: 900/2100
4G LTE: B1/3/7/8/20

The wide of the frecuency range is a matter of software or hardware?

So as far as most things are concerned partly both. I think if we can get into a proper service menu we could change the bands.

so far entered engineer mode, with the band 4 greyed out. no luck there. thinking either software needs to be added, or hardware :(

It is the hardware problem.

What about connectivity via USB to computer? I've just bought BV7000, but when plugged it into my Macbook it didn't show up on screen. Wanted to move my music to phone. Is this not possible?

Hello,
The blackview bv7000 to bv7000 pro will have problems working in the USA and Canada with the top phone carriers. I been checking out the bv7000 to bv7000 pro frequencies and seen that blackview never updated/upgraded the frequencies and they use

GSM:850/900/1800/1900
3G: 900/2100
4G LTE: 1/3/7/8/20

Yes it nice that GSM has somewhat a lot of the frequencies and bands turned on but for LTE frequencies it is really bad because the bands that are set are mainly used in china and the UK. But here in the USA and Canada they use LTE bands 2,4,5,12,13,17,25,26,30,41,66 and many others and the LTE bands i listed is the bands that AT&T, T-Mobile, Verison and Sprint use's. If your going to create a phone and sell it world wide make sure to use hardware that has a lot of the LTE bands open. If you create a BV phone that has a lot of WCDMA and LTE bands open you would sell a lot more of the BV phones world wide because then they can work on a lot of different carriers around the world. I think the only phone i have seen or read about that has a lot of the LTE bands open was the iPhone 6 or 7 but if blackview can create a BV phone that has a lot of LTE and WCDMA bands open you could be better then the iPhone or Samsung. Because with iPhone and Samsung they use good hardware but not so much on the shell of the phones that is just hard plastic that cant be drop to many times or drop from to high up unlike the BV phones that are really hard to break.

Here is some INFO that i tested with my bv7000 on 2 different carriers and tried a 3nd carrier but won't work.
AT&T = BV7000 to BV7000 pro will not work in the USA (No single at all)
T-Mobile = BV7000 to BV7000 pro will somewhat work in the USA but has really bad data transfer and phone calls will break up.
Verizon = BV7000 to BV7000 pro will not work because they wont activate it because they check the IMEI number on the phone to see if the phone will work on their service.

Here are a few of the top carriers bands and Frequencies in the USA.
The Frequencies are in order for the bands they use shown below.

Versions
3G = 0, 1 = 850, 1900
4G LTE = 2, 4, 13 = 1900, 1700 f, 700 c

AT&T
3G = 2, 5 = 1900, 850
4G LTE = 2, 4, 12, 17 = 1900, 1700 abcde, 700 bc

T-Mobile
3G = 2, 4 = 1900, 1700/2100
4G LTE = 2, 4, 12 = 1900, 1700 def, 700 a

Sprint
3G = 10, 1 = 800, 1900
4G LTE = 25, 26, 41 = 1900 g, 850, 2500

US Cellular
3G = 0, 1 = 850, 1900
4G LTE = 5, 12 = 850, 700 ab

My carrier that i use is Tracfone that uses AT&T, T-Mobile or Verison services so it is easy for me to test the phone with them by just changing the SIM card to a different provider and Tracfone sells all 3 SIM cards for $0.99 on Ebay. But Tracfone does use different APNs then what is used for AT&T, T-Mobile or Verison main APN but i do have Tracfone APN for all 3 providers.

I have seen a lot of places on the internet that is selling the BV phones and not listing the the full bands with the frequencies and are only listing the frequencies but not listing the bands for those frequencies and telling people they will work. The bands are importing with the frequencies because the carrier maybe transmitting on those frequencies but not on those bands. Because if you look above of the bands and frequencies i posted you will see 1900 can be used on band 1 or 2 for 3G so the frequencies can be the same for different bands depending if the carrier is uses one of those bands for 1900.

If blackview make a BV9000 and with a lot more open bands and want it tested in the USA i'll be happy to test it for blackview and make a video and also advertise it in the USA to help blackview get more phones sold. Just donate a phone to me because i don't have like $300-$400 to buy one just for testing but i will test it, make a video on youtube, advertise the phone on my websites and i have customers all around the world and i will tell people about it. Everyone that i have talked to so far and seen my BV7000 love the phone on how good it is built and strong.

OH before i forget blackview also needs to try to get the phones approved by the FCC in the USA and google certified. If you can get the phone FCC approved and google certified in the USA then the cell phone carriers in the USA can become resellers for blackview to sell them in their stores. Cell phone carriers won't touch a non-FCC and non-google certified phones. If you also create a new BV phone upgrade the gorilla glass to 4 or 5 because right now that i know of samsung S8 uses gorilla glass 5 on the front and back of the phones so they got you beat on that and ship the phones with the screen protector already on the phone because it is really hard to get it on with no air bubbles in it because I had to put the phone under water and usea credit card to push the air bubbles out. OH i have put a scratch the screen and put a little chip in it from dropping it on a sharp rock when i went swimming because at that time i couldn't get the screen protector on but the replacement screen kits are cheap for like $40 on ebay so i am not worried about it.
