Cannot turn the phone back on

Wed Dec 13, 2017 11:47 am

Hello,
I can't switch on my phone. I was following your advices - trying to switch on useing two methods you are writing about.

"sorry to hear that. There would be two ways that I can suggest.

First of all, keep the ON/OFF button pressed for 20-25 seconds while connected via USB cable to your PC. Open a Explorer Window to see if it appears.

The try to switch it on by releasing the button and pressing it again for 3-4 seconds.

If this should not work, you can re-flash you mobile. Please let me know, if step one has helped already."

It doesn't work. Additionally any diode is not shining at all. The same problem was a month ago - phone was sent to the producer and was repaired.

Now the problem is the same.

Hi Rafal111,

that sounds quite unusual. And thanks for reading and trying already the previous post. Could you kindly try another test to get to the internal test menu?

- switch off your mobile
- press the power on button and quickly press and hold the volume down key and release the power key until you see a line called factory mode.
- wait a while until a menu appears (if at all of course)

What you could also do is to see if the mobile reacts in the bootloader menu. If you have a PC you could connect the phone and see if a device appears in the device manager and if there is a sound when you connect it. Kind of check if the mobile is still alive somehow. Well that requires a Windows PC of course. MAC would also do.

Did you recently flash the device? Sounds a bit as if the repair wasn't really successful.

Unfortunatelly the second method hasn't worked, too.
Also the method to check if the mobile is still alive failed. It looks like it is absolutely out of order. And I was not flashing the device recently.
I guess there is no other option but send it to be repaired again.

Hi Rafal111,
sorry to hear that there is no reaction from your mobile. As you described that there is even no light when charging, it sounds like the USB port isn't working and now the battery is totally empty. I fear this really just leaves to return the phone for repair.

Hi Denis and Rafal111,

I tried this update, too, in order to reproduce the issue and ran in the same issue. I forwarded to the developers and it seem the mobiles are boot dead. Looks like the preloader is damaged, because a re-flash didn't work.

To all others: PLEASE DO NOT INSTALL THIS OTA UPDATE UNTIL THE DEVELOPERS TOOK A LOOK INTO THE ISSUE.

Rafal111 I saw you asking in a new post. But the issue is the same, so I'll reply here.

Hello,

Good phone until...
My P2 started to freeze and restarted at random moments. OK. Sometimes the power buttom did not seem to work after the phone had shut down. Last month or so the phone started to show sceen at startup (prepairing android ~ or something like that) and it usualy took 10 - 30 minutes to start.

Now the phone seems to be totaly dead. Also tryed the tricks mentioned up here.
Thanks
