Hello BV6000 Users,

first of all, I am still happy with this phone and I even spread my impressions to friends and family and made people buy this one

But I noticed several bugs with the recent firmware Update, or the "second Android 7.0"-Release:

• Virtual keyboard doesn't register the space bar from time to time - it doesn't happen with every tap, but often enough to keep you annoyed when writing longer messages; you constantly have to improve and correct your writings, which is time consuming and really annoying
• WiFi is not really stable. In previous version, I mostly had no problems with my internet connection, but after this update, my WiFi connection breaks without any notice; it appears that the phone is still connected properly, but everything times out, including web browser, Whatsapp, facebook and so on. Only deactivating/reactivating the Adapter solves the problem for a specific time
• 3G/4G or Mobile Data doesn't work sometimes when previously connected to a WiFi Network. Workaround: Turn ON/OFF Airplane mode for Mobile Data to work again. Annoying and existant since Android 6.0.
• Compass calibration is horrible - simply horrible! whatever I, try, it always seems that the compass is showing whatever he wants. Previous version only needed to do the "8-motion"-thing and it worked more or less, but now, it doesn't calibrate at all
• 3rd party Widgets are not updating as they should, and when I try to re-add them, they are simply broken and don't show any data. Maybe it's a permission issue?
• Battery seems to drain faster as with Android 6.0 - it may be a subjective impression, but I'd be really happy if it could be verified by engineers
• Missing translations everywhere. Since I am native german-speaking, I'd also consider to contribute and help improving the german translations

Oh and since admin is always asking for location of his users when posting problems with the phone:
I'm from Belgium

I really hope my listed points get fixed in a future release, since I really like this phone and would like to continue using it as much as possible

Since Version 20170223, I have personally experienced way less battery life. Otherwise, zero problems.

Hi,i'm Italian, I have a bv6000 from October, all ok until the last update, the battery lasted me 5 days, then suddenly I barely lasts two days, the usage is always the same. I also noticed that when I press the power button, the screen lights up very late. Whatsapp also gives me different problems on notifications and calls to the idle screen. I did well as a factory reset without installing anything but go uquale Can you help? The most important thing is the battery life.

Are there any news?

First 3 stated problems are the most serious and need to be fixed really soon, since they annoy anytime you use your phone

Last 4 problems are somewhat "endurable" (but would still be neat to get fixed)

Battery drain wasn't so bad during the past few days; I've got 3-4 days of moderate usage with one charge

Problems still exist and are REALLY annoying! (Especially the keyboard-bug)

Rollback to Android 6.0 is not an option, because there, I had serious issues with the screen!

I'm about to switch my phone if this goes on like this

Blackview support should provide a REAL technican instead of a marketing guy throwing out one copy-paste after another

BV6000 is a phone that expands your knowledge. Before purchasing it I was not into phones, androids etc. I never knew of applications like Flash tools, IMEI write tools, and other programs supposed to make crappy phones work. Now I'm becoming an expert. I think the idea behind this model is providing an educational tool.

If you think there's irony hidden somewhere in my opinion - well, you're right.

I installed 20170223 but had consistent problems with WiFi dropping. I ended up reverting back to 6.0 and then reinstalling 7 under 21061216. Things gave been fine since then.
