Don't think there is a reason to update from the December version
Have you tried to search for updates under the OTA function/app? I did not get a notification, but the OTA did find the update (I canceled though ).

The main competitor; Ulefone Armor, has no support or firmware updates at all. BV6000 is the better choice!

Thank you Helloworld for your reply. I Have both the bv6000 and bv7000 pro. I really like the build quality of both phone and love the battery on the 6000. The way i check for updates is Settings > about phone > wireless update > check for updates. I have never had an update and reading up on the forum seems to show there is. Is there an app for it? I'm just curious because even the December update I flashed in march. I would just like to know that when there is an update i can choose to update.

lOCAL UPDATE (again) fixed some problems at mine.
I overinstalled the update by local update again.
Since then the buttons are working fine again, the touchscreen as well.

I think it has to do with the Battery Saving Mode. Experienced the same problems when I turned it on. To solve this, go to Parameters -> Battery Saving Mode (I guess its like that in English):
- enter in the 2nd menu (Battery Saving) and switch it off
- enter in the 1st menu (only available if Battery Saving is off), select and edit the Personalized Option enabling the desired option (Bluetooth, Wifi, GPS, etc...)

Not many problems here, but it seems like the navigation buttons go to sleep after a while, example back does not work until you press home or menu, after that everything is back to normal.

No, you can't, you can only do this from the nearest version upon your current version.
